4 13+ Workplace Factors Toolkits | MARCH 2022 BACK TO CONTENTS FACTOR 2 PSYCHOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL SUPPORT It can be difficult to navigate a workday when your focus is pulled elsewhere – whether that is to a difficult conversation you had with a coworker, or to challenges at home. The ability to feel supported during these difficult times and speak openly to your peers or supervisor means there is a strong sense of psychological and social support in the workplace. An environment where there is a level of trust and social connections within the workplace and employees feel the organization is supportive of their concerns is a psychologically supportive environment. In this workplace, employees are more likely to seek and receive the help they need and are better equipped to stay working productively.
