Doing visual checks in the workplace can ensure that dangerous situations are identified and addressed. 1 2 3 1. Ensure workers operate mobile equipment, slow down, sound the horn and keep clear view of travel path. 2. Ensure workers follow the rules of road at intersections. Operators should give pedestrians the right of way. 3. Be a good role model, walk on paths with physical barriers when possible to set a good example. 1. Review storage practices to ensure workers avoid high pallet stacks at the end of aisleways, obstructing visibility. 2. Ensure workers stay within pedestrian walkways to avoid interaction with mobile equipment. Reinforce best practices from pedestrian safety training. 1 2
