Category: Process – Lack of management of change program a) Ensure there is internal enforcement of management of change (MOC) policy – built into business operations b) Incorporate MOC into procurement/finance process c) Ensure OHS in involved in the MOC process d) Provide a guideline/template as to what to include in MOC process i. Include examples of what would trigger OHS questions e) Provide checklist/guideline/resource (free) on how to identify MSD hazards from MMH during procurement process to manage change g) Incorporate safety into other stakeholder processes h) Incorporate risk assessment into MOC i) Follow up on changes to ensure MSD hazards have been adequately controlled j) Provide general training on how to manage change, what are the benefits, etc. k) Incorporate safety into business continuity education l) Build business case for safety and make business buying decisions from internal data (e.g. what worked and what did not)
