CHAPTER 4: AGRICULTURE-RELATED FATALITIES, 2011 – 2020
Relatively few fatal agriculture-related injuries
occurred in the winter months of December to
March.
4.1 FATAL AGRICULTURE-RELATED INJURY BY MONTH, 2011 – 2020
Over the 10-year period from 2011 to 2020,
there were 156 agriculture-related fatalities in
Ontario, 62% (n=96) which occurred from May
to October.
The highest proportion of fatalities took place in
June, August, and September.

those who died in

injury events were male.
The ratio of males to
females was highest
for the 30 to 59 and the
15 to 29 year age groups,
each with a ratio of 16:1;
and lowest for the 1 to 14
year age group (3:1).
