Keep hands, feet, and clothing away from power–driven parts as they can be pulled into the machine. Training is essen�al prior to opera�ng a fer�lizer spreader. Prevention Points Review the General Health & Safety Best Practices section on page 7 before performing any task. Be aware of overhead wires, trees, etc., when raising implements. When the equipment is not in use, ensure to lower machine to ground, turn off engine, and remove the key. ! ? ACTION! Show your crew members the proper way to store fertilizer and use the fertilizer spreader specific to the task at hand.
