Do you know at what noise level it is no longer safe to work without hearing protec�on? (Answer: 85 dBA) Line or string trimmers can cause you injury by cu�ng your feet, ankles and legs. This equipment can also propel small objects and airborne par�cles in the eye, ear or on the skin's surface. Prevention Points Review the General Health & Safety Best Practices section on page 7 before performing any task. Check to see the throttle operates in both a high and low position. Make sure your footing is secure and path is clear. Clear all stones and debris from edging area. Do not remove the guard. Do not fuel on the customers lawn or driveway. Make sure the motor is off if you set the trimmer down. Secure trimmer during transport. Cut only at ground level and do not use it for any cutting above 6" (15 cm) height (e.g. never use on a hedge). Ensure to use the correct string (manufacturer's spec). Operate at a speed appropriate to the task (maximum speed is not always required). ! ?
