Nicola is an effective senior leader, compliance professional and advisor with over 12 years' experience in environment, health & safety and legal affairs. With proven success in risk management and regulatory compliance, she provides solutions and delivers programs that contribute to the overall business strategy. Nicola is currently the national Director of Environment, Health and Safety at Acklands-Grainger, a business to business industrial safety supply company, and its subsidiary WFS Ltd. Prior to leading EHS, Nicola was the manager of legal affairs handling commercial negotiations, litigation matters, corporate law, and supporting M&A deals and implementation. Additionally, she managed Corporate Social Responsibility Program and chaired several national councils. Nicola has been involved with WSPS since 2017 as a member of the WSPS Retail, Wholesale & Office Advisory Committee.
Nicola holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University and is a member of the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario. She is a certified national competition coach, volunteer head golf coach with Special Olympics, and the recipient of the Petro-Canada Coaching Excellence award in 2015.
