Health & Safety Awareness Presentations
Health & Safety Awareness Presentations (HSAP) are an opportunity to introduce new and young workers to workplace safety and worker rights.
Using games, videos and group discussion, crucial health and safety information is shared with participants, common employment misperceptions debunked, and a safety-conscious mindset is developed.
HSAP participants:
- gain crucial health and safety information.
- learn worker rights and responsibilities, and those of their employer and supervisor.
- increase their awareness of workplace hazards.
- learn how to deal with health and safety issues, if they arise.
- get resources to help.
- and much more.
Delivered by trained volunteers*, these presentations are offered 100% free of charge, thanks to funding from the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. Both in-person and virtual delivery available.
* All volunteers are required to complete a police vulnerable sector check.
