Ayden Robertson

Senior Health & Safety Consultant

Ayden provides a wide range of ergonomics solutions to employers in Northern Ontario to help them control hazards related to musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), including ergonomics assessments, job task analysis, physical and cognitive demands descriptions, and more. “I enjoy working in a wide variety of work environments and creatively applying my expertise to best meet the needs of unique workplaces,” he says.

Ayden’s customers appreciate his work, and understand its importance in reducing injuries:

With help from Ayden and WSPS, we have completed ergonomic and cognitive job demands assessments for many positions at our Sault Ste. Marie facility. Our results are so positive at this point that our other Canadian facilities are now conducting physical and cognitive physical demands assessments.

As a Registered Kinesiologist with the Ontario College of Kinesiologists, Ayden is an expert in biomechanics, human anatomy, MSDs, and physical/cognitive ergonomics. He has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Kinesiology and a Master of Human Kinetics, and is the author of several journal articles related to ergonomics.

Ayden chose a career in health and safety and ergonomics because he believes there should be more emphasis on proactively preventing injuries than on injury rehabilitation. “I truly believe work shouldn’t hurt and I maintain a strong commitment to helping others prevent injuries. Working with WSPS allows me to fulfill this commitment.”
