Craig Stewart

Craig is a seasoned safety professional with extensive experience in occupational health, emergency management and human resources. Well‐versed as a safety generalist, he specializes in confined spaces and technical rescue, developing and conducting confined space hazard assessments, entry and rescue plans throughout Canada.

I have managed, trained, and served on emergency response teams responding to hazardous materials, fire and medical emergencies and I am qualified under National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards as a confined space rescue technician, rope rescue technician. In my role with WSPS, Im able to apply both my backgrounds in emergency response and confined space to help protect workers from harm.

Craig is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) and a graduate of Lakeland College’s Emergency Training Centre (ETC) earning Professional Fire Fighter Qualifications, NFPA 1001, NFPA 1002, NFPA (460, Haz Mat Opps) (NFPA, 1051, Wild Land) (NFPA 1006 Technical Rescue). He also holds Fitter 1 natural gas pipeline technician credentials with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA). Prior to joining WSPS, Craig worked in industries including natural gas pipeline and automotive manufacturing, in both the provincial and federal sectors. Craig says doing a good job is its own reward.
