Jaeyoung Lee

Specialized Consultant

Occupational hygiene is a vital defence against work-related illness and the driving force behind Jaeyoung's work. In her role as Specialized Consultant, Jaeyoung helps employers recognize, assess and control chemical, biological and physical hazards before they can affect workers. Combining technical expertise with a practice, people centred approach, she works with organizations to make sense of complex exposures and turn them into clear, actionable prevention strategies.

Occupational Hygiene allows me to connect what I know about exposures and health effects with real workplaces. Working alongside employers and workers to reduce risk and protect health is where I can make a meaningful difference.

Jaeyoung holds a Master of Public Health with a specialization in Occupational and Environmental Health from the University of Toronto as well as the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation. This blend of advanced education and professional certification underpins the technical rigor she brings to chemical and noise exposure assessments, indoor air quality evaluations, respirator fit testing and occupational hygiene program development.

I really enjoy working with a range of clients and learning about their unique workplaces, practices and exposures so we can work together to protect worker health. It’s rewarding to see the difference occupational hygiene can make in people’s lives, especially when clients share the progress they’ve made in strengthening protection for their workers.

Jaeyoung’s ongoing motivation comes from seeing organizations move from uncertainty to confidence in their controls and from knowing that each improvement contributes to healthier, safer workplaces.
