Be part of a safer working community

Take advantage of volunteering and networking opportunities with WSPS. Workplace safety takes a community effort – and you are an important part of that community. By getting involved with Workplace Safety & Prevention Services, you can show leadership and help create cultures of health and safety.

Health & Safety Awareness Presentations

Help deliver free Health and Safety Awareness Presentations (HSAP) to vulnerable workers in schools and other community organizations (e.g. employment centers, immigration centres, training centers, etc.).

Event Support

Assist in the planning, coordination and delivery of WSPS events, including regional conferences and Partners in Prevention – Canada’s largest health and safety conference and trade show.

Good Neighbour Community

As an experienced volunteer and health and safety professional, you can be a Good Neighbour. Equipped with small business resources and tools, you’ll provide guidance and leadership to small businesses in your community.

Volunteer Advisory Group (Agricultural Sector)

A small group dedicated to workplace health and safety within the agricultural sector. Generally recruited from existing regional farm safety associations, they meet regularly to discuss issues, concerns and protocols specific to the sector.

Volunteer Council

Recruited from our existing volunteer base, our Volunteer Council helps guide the WSPS volunteer program, ensuring it continues to evolve and run efficiently and effectively.
